The Philosophies of Epictetus and Tardieu

A philosopher, by the name of Epictetus, wrote in The Enchiridon, in the 1st century A.D. :

"Men are disturbed not by things, but by the view which they take of them."

Another man by the name of Andre' Tardieu wrote:

"Difficulties lie in our habits of thought rather than in the nature of things."
